LPL 2026 match schedule released

The official schedule for the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2026 has been released by Sri Lanka Cricket in partnership with The IPG Group. The sixth edition of the tournament features a double round-robin format and playoffs, running from July 17 to August 9, 2026.

An opening ceremony will kick off the tournament on Friday, July 17, 2026, at the SSC grounds, followed by a night match between Galle and Jaffna.

The league stage will see doubleheaders and single matches played across the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) in Colombo, Dambulla, and Kandy venues before moving to the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium (RPICS) for the final knockout stages.

The qualifiers and eliminator matches are set to begin on August 5, 2026.

The showdown will take place on August 8, 2026, with August 9, designated as a rain reserve day to ensure an uninterrupted conclusion to the tournament.
