A petition seeking an order to the IGP to conduct an inquiry into a statement made by former Deputy Minister Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan alias Karuna Amman during the last general election regarding the killing of soldiers, was dismissed today.
This was after Kaduwela Municipal Councilor Boseth Kalahipathirana withdrew the petition he had filed in this regard.
The petition had alleged that during the last general election, Karuna Amman made a statement that he had killed hundreds of soldiers in one night while he was with the LTTE.
