Few of the newly appointed government ministers assumed duties at their relevant ministries today.
Minister of Justice and Buddhist Affairs Wijedasa Rajapaksa assumed duty this morning at the Ministry of Justice. Speaking to the media he stated that he expects to establish a new constitution in the national government within the next two years.
W.D.J. Seneviratne, Minister of Labor and Trade Union Relations, assumed duty today at his ministry in Narahenpita.
Chandima Weerakkodi, Minister of Fuel and Petroleum Gases assumed duty today at his ministry in Colombo 7. Expressing his views to the media the minister said that he will take measures to build a new system for storage of crude oil.
Minister of Fisheries and Water Resources Mahinda Amaraweera said that he will take necessary steps to develop the technology used for fishing.
In addition to these, Minister of Megapolis and Western Development Patali Champika Ranawaka, Minister of Agriculture Duminda Dissanayake and Minister of National Dialogue Mano Ganeshan assumed duty today at their respective ministries.
