Dengue spread in schools increase

Public Medical Consultant of Dengue Prevention Unit, Doctor Prashila Samaraweera says an increase in spread of Dengue fever could be seen in schools.

Further she stated that this situation was revealed during the Dengue investigations made in schools by Presidential Task Force.

Accordingly, it has been revealed that 60% of the schools are with the possibility of Dengue spread internally.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education says in a notice that they informed the school principals islandwide to take necessary actions regarding the spread of Dengue fever.
