Cabinet approval for O/L maths failed students to study for A/L
The cabinet approval has been received to a proposal where the students who have failed the mathematics subject in ordinary level examination is provided with an opportunity to re-sit for the exam within 2 years, while following the advanced level classes.
This proposal was presented by the minister of education at the cabinet meeting which was held this morning.
Cabinet media spokesperson minister Keheliya Rambukwella explained further in this regard at the cabinet media briefing today.
Meanwhile at a media briefing convened in Colombo today the national organizer of the Socialist Students' Union, provincial councilor Nalinda Jayatissa said that he is against the proposal regarding the mathematics subject.
